This was the first time our kids actually stayed up till midnight. We usually set all of the clocks back 3 hours and watch the New York ball drop and find ourselves in bed by 10 PM. This year we felt they had come of age and went for the full ride. They had a blast and were with the Dean kids as usual. As midnight struck they threw confetti and ran the neighborhood loop 10 times in honor of 2010. It was fun. 2009 will be remember for its hard times…the low point being the death of my father or papa Bob to my kids….we still miss him dearly. 2010 hopefully will be better and brighter.
